Logs and firewood in County Durham

The key to using firewood as a fuel source is having complete control over the moisture content of ever log. We have developed our own unique technique using 10 years of experience.

The logs are kiln dried but we have a particular method whereby ever log has controlled warm air flow over it. This enables us manage and measure the moisture content of every log and therefore control our quality effectively.

Our logs are all hardwood and are typically a mix of Ash, Beech, Oak, Sycamore, Alder and Silver Birch. The log size is between 8 and 10 inches although we can cut to your specific requirement.

At County Durham Logs we have invested in a state of the art biomass boiler system that allows gives us the ability to force dry large quantities of logs in a few days. We can therefore manage the moisture content and guarantee top quality logs to less than 20% moisture content.

All of our timber comes from managed forestry and wood is a completely renewable source of energy as well as being carbon neutral.
